Richard A. Wilson, Esq.
Mr. Wilson's practice focuses primarily on criminal defense and civil litigation. To that end, he has represented people in high profile cases including the Towanda Graduation "Streaker" and four of the six young victims in the Mount Carmel "Strip Search" case (where six teenage high school students were strip searched after a gym class by teachers and police after $27 was reported missing), and a variety of criminal jury trials. More recently he tried a First Degree Murder case in Binghamton, NY, in the fall of 2006 and represented a Sayre man who had charges of abuse and stalking dismissed on the eve of trial in two different Bradford County cases. In addition to a thriving practice in criminal and civil law, Mr. Wilson regularly represents people in family court cases, as well. While in law school, Mr. Wilson received a Certificate in Family Law and Social Policy for extra work done in that area. Since that time he has regularly represented people in divorces, support, custody, PFA and related cases in New York and Pennsylvania. Current and Former Memberships:
Mr. Wilson's interest in trials also brings him to courtrooms to observe trials in which he is not professionally involved--most notably the original trial of Dr. Stephen Scher in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, and the trial of Oklahoma City Bomber conspirator Terry Nichols in Federal Court in Denver, Colorado. He has been interviewed on television and in print media for various cases, and appeared on television several times. At least two cases in which he has been professionally involved have been mentioned on CourtTV and CNN, as well as FOX News. Richard A. Wilson, Esq., is a graduate of the Wyalusing Valley High School; he lives in the Wyalusing area with his wife, Michelle, and their daughter, Genevieve. |
