Attorney Leah Ellsworth Of Keystone Law Firm

Leah Ellsworth

Estate Planning Attorney

I love being an attorney helping people create plans that will protect their families in an emergency. In 2016, at only 28 years old, I was hospitalized due to a sudden brain bleed.

The bleeding put me out, unconscious for days, hospitalized for weeks, and required two craniotomies to repair!  The doctors later figured out it was an arteriovenous malformation (or “AVM”) that had ruptured due my body’s increased blood volume.  I was 24 weeks pregnant and suddenly my life was on the line.

When I regained consciousness days later and heard my surgeon explain what had happened, I heard the words coming out of his mouth but felt almost as if I was eavesdropping on another conversation; like I was having an out of body experience.

Fortunately, my story has a happy ending.  I recovered more quickly than my doctors anticipated, and gave birth at 40 weeks to healthy baby boy.

I can’t express how grateful I am to have another day/week/month/year and for all that emergency has taught me about life.  None of us are guaranteed another day.  And it is for these reasons I give my clients my best when planning to protect them.

My practice is focused on estate planning, probates, guardianships, and helping small businesses succeed.
