Lindsie Simonsen
Case Supervisor
A South Dakota native, Lindsie’s family and she took a huge leap of faith the summer of 2018 and decided to leave the Midwest for a warmer climate. They moved to the Valley during the hottest time of the year, reaching highs of 120 degrees, and moved their belongings at 5:00 in the morning so that they could move in the 98-degree heat instead. Fun right?
A couple of weeks later, she joined Keystone Law Firm transitioning her long-term career of 15 years in the auto insurance industry with a background in business management and human resources to estate planning. Her family and she are finally settled in East Mesa where she enjoys spending time with her husband, two boys, and their goofy little French Bulldog. As a boy mom and the only lady in the house, she can honestly say her life is never dull!
“Joining Keystone Law Firm has been a real blessing. About 11-12 years ago, I found myself very young and in a position where my dad was no longer able to care for himself, and no other family was ‘ready’ to take on the responsibility. The last 6-8 months of his life were a rapid decline until his passing in 2010. During this time, I struggled with navigating and advocating for his level of care due to his age and my own lack of experience. We were in and out of hospitals and care facilities, working with lawyers and caseworkers, asking for help but being passed from person to person until we finally met an amazing director at a hospice facility who stepped in to ensure he had peace and comfort during his final weeks.”
After his passing, things didn’t get any easier. Lindsie was left to administer what estate he had and his final arrangements with no will, ultimately leaving a huge wedge between various parts of the family that still exist to this day. Jump ahead eight years: Lindsie encountered an opportunity to switch career fields and join an amazing firm where she can help families get their financial houses in order and navigate the probate process when those before them didn’t make a plan. “Coming here, I knew I had found a purpose, a passion, and a home at Keystone Law Firm.”
