Arden Park is a large neighborhood that stretches from West Germann Road to West Ryan Road, though it does not include the intersection of those two streets. That is a separate, smaller neighborhood called German County Garden Estates. That neighborhood is bounded by South Hartford Street and West Kingbird Drive. Sienna Heights is located on the north side of West German Road. Arden Park was mostly built between 2002 and 2004. There are around 400 single family homes ranging in size from 1800 square feet to 5300 square feet. The smallest homes are three bedroom single family homes, while the largest have seven bedrooms and a four car garage. Roughly half the homes have private pools. Arden Park includes the Ryan Park. That is next to Hancock Elementary. That stretches along West Ryan Road and follows the curve of South Hartford Street. A longer greenbelt with pathways stretches north through the subdivision to West Germann Road. Hancock Elementary School is located in the middle of the Arden Park subdivision. Students may also attend Chandler Preparatory Academy, a local charter school. Students are assigned to Bogle Junior High School and Hamilton High School. You can take South Alma School Road south to a massive retail complex at the intersection of Alma and West Queen Creak Road. West Queen Creek Road connects to South Arizona Avenue, also known as Highway 87. You can also take West Ryan Road to Highway 87. That gives you access to downtown Chandler. Continue on West Ryan Road past the highway, and you’ll reach the massive Tumbleweed Park. That is home to the Arizona Railway Museum and Chandler Tennis Center. If you take it west, you’ll hit the Gila River Memorial Airport. The community received a walk score of 19, though the walkability is higher closer to major roads. It has a public transit score of 23. The area is more bike friendly, so it received a bike score of 55. That’s mainly due to the bike trails in the linear parks that let you ride from one place to another without being on major streets.
