Parkside East is a long, narrow neighborhood that hugs West Ray Road. It is notable for including Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. North Seville Boulevard is generally considered the eastern boundary of the neighborhood, while North Country Club Way marks the western edge. Parkside East falls in the Price Corridor.
Parkside East is south of the massive Valencia Owner’s Association and Windmills West. Parkside East is tiny in comparison because it contains just forty homes. All of them were built in the mid-nineties. Most of the homes are small. They average 1600 to 1700 square feet. Golden Keyes East is located to the southwest, on the south side of West Ray Road. The Darcy Ranch subdivision is directly south of Parkside East.
This neighborhood gets a relatively high public transit score of 31 since there are several bus stops along West Ray Road. You’re also incredibly close to Arizona State Route 101.It is easier to take South Price Road, if you’re headed south, and that’s why it is called the Price Corridor. The sheer number of restaurants and retail spots along West Ray explains why it has a walk score of 61. Its bike score is 78.
Parkside East is in the Kyrene School District. Parkside East is only half a mile from the Paragon Science Academy. It is less than a mile from the Sureno Campus and Chandler Traditional Academy on Knox Road. They may go to Kyrene Del Cielo School or Kyrene de Las Brisas School. Many students attend Corona Del Sol High School. There are several private schools in the area. For example, Seton Catholic Preparatory and Hope Christian Academy are one and a half miles away.
The biggest issue with the neighborhood is the lack of green space. Valencia HOA has private, resident-only parks like Valencia Park off Seville Boulevard. You have to drive somewhere like Windmills West Park for your kids to play. Or visit Pequeno Park next to Paragon Science Academy.
