14 Failures of LegalZoom You Need to Know!
Listen to the radio show on this topic in the video above
Or, here is the short version.
When I first heard of LegalZoom, to be frank, I was a bit terrified that my profession was about to get wiped out.
I mean, imagine, some multi-million dollar company comes into your space and says they can do it better, faster, and cheaper.
How am I going to take care of my wife…and my kids? She just retired from a great career in nursing to stay home with our kids.
Did I just pick a dying career? Are we going to lose our home? Lose the bright future I promised?
Real fear hit me.
So I started digging into this new thing, LegalZoom, to figure it out.
And I found exactly the same thing I’ve been fighting against since starting my firm. I was furious but also relieved. What I found was that they are the same as everyone else out there.
They don’t guarantee anything. Their actual guarantee, taken from their website says exactly that:
“(b) No Guarantee. LegalZoom does not guarantee that any Legal Form provided is suitable for a particular purpose, or that any Legal Form provided is accurate, reliable, complete or timely. The Legal Forms provided are for information purposes only, and should not be relied upon as legal advice.”
LegalZoom is just like the rest. “No guarantee”. Wow.
I started my own firm with one goal: to give my clients a written guarantee that their plans will work when they aren’t around to make sure. That’s why we created the TrustCare Guarantee and it sets us apart from everyone else out there.
ANY documents can work. But do you want someone who says “No Guarantee” or someone who will stand behind your documents when you can’t? Ask to look at their written guarantee before you sign anything.
That’s why we’re not worried anymore. We don’t compete with LegalZoom. We don’t even do the same thing.
I hope your journey to protect your loved ones finds certainty like our team is doing for others.
